2xx
200 OK
The request succeeded and the server returned the requested content.
What is HTTP 200?
This is the standard response for a successful HTTP request. The meaning of the response depends on the method used: for GET requests, the resource is returned in the body; for POST, the result of the action is described in the body. It is by far the most common status code on the web, returned for every successful page load, API call, or resource fetch. The response body contains the requested data in the format specified by the Content-Type header.
Defined in RFC 9110
Common Causes
- A web page, image, script, or other resource was successfully retrieved
- An API request was processed and the result is included in the response
- A form submission or data operation completed without errors
How to Fix
- No fix needed; this indicates everything worked as expected
- If you expected a different result, inspect the response body for details
- Verify the response Content-Type matches what your application expects
