What is HTTP 102?

This interim status code is part of the WebDAV extension and indicates that the server has received and is processing the request, but the processing has not yet completed. It prevents the client from timing out while waiting for a long-running operation. The server sends this to let the client know the request was not lost or forgotten. It is primarily used with WebDAV methods that may take significant time to execute.

Common Causes

• WebDAV operations involving multiple resources that take time to process
• Complex server-side operations triggered by a PROPFIND or PROPPATCH request
• Batch operations on file systems accessed through WebDAV

How to Fix

• No action needed; wait for the final response from the server
• If timeouts persist, increase client-side timeout settings
• Consider breaking large WebDAV operations into smaller batches
